This is one of the most important questions you can ask when buying a franchise. The answer depends on your skills and the size of your business, but it's also worth considering whether or not you will need additional staff at all.

For example, if you're opening up an ice cream shop in New York City and have no experience running a restaurant or fast food establishment before then chances are good that hiring staff might be necessary right away. On the other hand, if this is just going to be another coffee shop in town with only two employees (you and another person) then there may not be much point in hiring anyone else besides yourself at first because things would get done faster without having someone else around getting in everyone's way all day long!
